2nd hand shortboard

My friend has offered me $230 for his short board. It looks good and comes with leg strap, case and fins.
I was wondering because i am still a beginner surfer should i buy it off him and learn with that?

Got a picture, dimensions or..............anything to base a decision off of? C'mon bro; what are you going to do with an answer when you ask a question like this!?! The answer be worthless is the answer to that.

If he is a friend, talk him into letting you try the board.....if it is a good fit for you, something that you can see yourself loving and helping you to grow as a surfer and enjoy your time in the water then yeah, buy it.......but lowball him first and see if you can get it for less. Best I can do bro.
