Rainy dayz !!

Postby CheeZee » Wed Jul 27, 2005 2:42 pm

Just incase anyone else is feeling a little bit low this week :(

Its wednesday about 3pm , i can hear the rain pounding the roof a couple of feet away from me ... the surf cams still hold no sign of anything worthy of a soggy 3hr drive ... all of my buds are far more into snowboarding so none of them are that bothered about when we next go down' ....

" right here right now i feel like the dog who can see his favourite toy out in the yard but isnt allowed out to play with it " ....

For all of us that are too far away ... may you all hear in the background a faint hawaiian ukalalee playing and find yourself pretending that necklace of paperclips you have just made out of boredom is really a petal necklace handed to you on arrival at your favourite beach  :D

We had a bbq last night :)

Fixed one of the gazibos that one of the campers on site had chucked. Stuck that up, plus some tarp to extend and sweetness :)

There's been a few over the last couple of years... Strangly enough I was at each location! Boscastle just over 5 years ago, the manc one aye, thee was one here in North Devon (part of the Bristol channel fault line.) and most recently there was one just up the road from Bangor. The earth always moves for me ;)

Jeez . . .

The beach is 15 minutes away. Retired, 57 -- I'm still a kid. Trust me on that one.

Water temp is 52 F. That's 11 or 12 Celsius, for the international crew.

I have an O'Neil, 5/3 mil. suit. Booties, gloves, the suit is hooded.

Astoria, Oregon. Surf beaches are Seaside, Indian Beach, Short Sands . . . for starters.

We surf in overcast, rain, cold, stormy (some of the best in stormy) . . .

When we're done surfing, we cook on the beach. It's a party.
