Fins Unlimited - installing the fin

Postby rockover » Wed Oct 14, 2015 6:49 am

I've just got a new longboard with a Fins Unlimited box & fin; I've never seen a box like this and I can't seem to get the tab into the rail as the angle it goes in at doesn't let it rotate.

Any fin-gurus who can help?

Post a picture of the box and the fin, based on what you have said I have no idea and if I can't answer my guru status might be revoked!

If you have a Rectangle plate instead of a Square plate, that may be the reason. Try finding the Square plate type that is black plastic with a brass screw in part. It cracks on impact to save the box. But if you can't find a square plate, try flipping the rectangle plate upside down. There should be a rounded edge and a flat edge on the plate.
