I heard they scheduled the first contest in the wave pool. That should be interesting since it takes many ancillary skills out of the picture like positioning and reading the wave. It will be all about interpretation of the wave and surfing ability.

There's also a webcam link on magic peaweed now. Some annoying adverts but you can get a feel for the dynamics of the place without video editing as per the videos.
