Boardsize?

I'm a beginner from Florida and I have never surfed before in my life. I just recently started getting into it and I have no idea what kind of board I should get or the size of it. I am 5'8" and 140 pounds. If you could give me some tips that would be great.

ide say to have some lessons first..then when you think you want to deff want to surf you sould look for a long board or minimal

why the hell do we have all these reoccuring posts, all that happens is the same anwsers get brought up and the same question is asked over and over again. Read the other posts, especally the sticky, and only ask if you have more of a specific question instead of a generalized one thatn's been asked millions of times over.
