New Board Advice

Hi
I am in the process of buying a smaller board
I am moving down from my 7'6 fiberglass funboard

I have two options:
1. Fish 6'4
2. Lost Shark Quad (6'6 x 20 3/8" x 2 5/8") Higher volume shortboard

Which one should I buy?
And is $180 a good price for them?
They have some dings but are in overall good condition

just buy a 6.2 shortboard and jump on it.. i strongly believe that u just need to buy a board that u dream of to surf exept of swapping every 2 years to a smaller model...

A jump from a 7'6 to 6'6 is a big jump, but not impossible as long as you've got the fundamentals down on the bigger board.
Impossible to say whether they're good boards without seeing them, and without knowing what stage you're at etc.

The dimensions of the 6'6 don't look too bad (although a little thicker/wider might be helpful), but a quad is probably not the best choice at this stage. I'd stick with a thruster (three fin) set up for now.

If you're fine in flag football, just skip JV, high school Varsity and College. just go directly to the NFL pro football ? Nystea, Do you keep the same theory for the other sports you do ? In riding a bike ? A motorcycle ? Lifting weights ? Shooting a gun ? Crawl before you walk, walk before you run. A strong wide base lets you build higher.

Pretty much the opposite of what you should do IF you actually want to learn to surf sometime in the next three to five years.

hmz u guys taking it to the extreme..
if u can ride a 7.6 and u know all the fundamentals.. i guess the 6.2 ll also work after some hard work.. i see many times ppl on longboards and all they wanted is riding a shortboard.. its a totally other feeling and i think once u know fundamentals..if that what u wanted u shoudnt spent to much time with big boards...

Surfer123 - $180 sound like a too good to be true deal. Any photos of the boards ? Question, how's your backside surfing on the 7'6" ?
