Portugal

Postby LeoHawkesBay » Tue May 12, 2015 5:37 am

I am an experienced surfer (since 1977) I will be in Portugal in early June and will be traveling with my wife. Landing in Porto and plan to head North to Vigo. Any recommendations for nice clean accommodation, near the coast, small town / village. after this heading south to Peniche / Ericeira. Any suggestions for must do on the way down. Planing on taking 4 days for this trip. We prefer smaller towns and villages. Any suggestions for a good surf shop to rent boards to take on the road. Then heading down toward Lagos, again any advice on accomadation and locations. Any feed back on the beach side Lodges of Jah Shaka surf Praia da Luz.

If any one planning on visiting New Zealand let me know if you need some advice

If you are going to south Portugal I will suggest you to stop in Alentejo, less crowdy and less windy than Algarve. Sao Torpes or Praia da Galé may be good spots.
