What is going on everyone my name is Rob I just moved to Huntington Beach and started my surfing journey. I had a couple of sessions with a foam wavestorm and learned how to get up consistently. So the other day I made my surfboard purchase and I went with a 7' California Board Company foam mini-mal. Would this board be suitable for me to pick up where I left off learning from the wave storm or is this board a little on the short side? Also I noticed I don't have as much traction as I did on the wavestorm should I put a little wax on the foam board to help with traction. I had some trouble getting up but im pretty sure its to be expected moving down in size. Thanks!

It's all a matter of difficulty. You should be able to learn on that board just it will be a little more difficult at first. Welcome to the forum
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
