Taghazout- What type of board?

Postby NickRhos » Tue Mar 10, 2015 8:38 pm

Hi all! I just had a quick question for all you seasoned pros! I'm heading out to taghazout, Morocco middle of March for at least 3 months was wondering what type of board I should take? I'm 5'9 round 10stone, Was thinking possibly a semi gun 6'6 or 6'4 because Ive heard the waves are pretty big and fast but was also thinking I'm going in the off season so would like to take out a short board something like a 5'11-6' to rip up some of the smaller stuff? Any words of advise would be greatly appreciated!

Nick,
do you presently surf? If so, then 6 to 6.5 ft short board.

From march and into summer, you'll be in the off season - not necessarily completely off, but not the big powerful autumn/winter swells, so I'd go with the standard shortboard rather than the semi-gun.
You'll probably find me surfing, but if not, I'll probably be in the photography studio
