Wetsuit question

Postby m3csl » Thu Nov 06, 2014 2:05 pm

I have an O'neill Reactor 3/2 wetsuit.
On our colder days of winter the wetsuit is not sufficient and I feel too cold.
What do you reccomend for me : buying a thicker suit or sticking with the 3/2 thickness and upgrading to an advancer suit (such as the O'neill Psycho).
A few more quesitons:
1. Is there a significant difference between the Psycho 1 , 2 and 3 ?
2. What is the differnet in Ripculr's flash bomb and E bomb ?
3. Getting out of the water is the coldest moment, is there a differnet between the suits for this moment ?

A higher up the chain wetsuit from the same manufacturer probably will not be any warmer, but it might be slightly warmer eg less flushing or whatever.

If you want to try a cheaper solution than a new wetsuit, although it may or may not work, buy a 1mm rash vest and put it on under your wetsuit. Another option is to just add a hood/gloves/booties (hood is probably the best)

Otherwise, go for a thicker wetsuit.
