Short sighted Surfers

Postby defuzz » Tue Apr 13, 2004 11:51 am

So I'm new to all this and I'd like to start surfing.

The problem is I need glasses but I'm not sure how to surf AND see at the same time.

I could just surf without my glasses but then I'd have trouble seeing good waves and possibly am more likely to decapitate people as I surf.

What do you glasses wearers do? How well do contact lenses work when surfing or am Ilikely to lose them inthe first 10 minutes? If anything I'd use disposables so it wouldn't matter if I lost them but it seems pointless if they'll get lost too easily.

Secondly, how 'bout prescription goggles? Not the coolest look I know but whats the chance of them staying on and gettign ripped off as a I surf??

thanks for you suggestions
