Surfcamp Christmas in Portugal

Hey guys, we're two girls who want to go surfing for a couple of days over Christmas in Portugal. We haven't really surfed before, only once or twice, so we need a spot where it's nice to surf for beginners. Someone recommended us to go to Ericeira and Peniche. Has anyone been to one of these places and does anyone have recommendations for surfcamps or other nice surfspots? Since it's Christmas it would also be nice to spend it at a camp where there are a lot of other people . Would be great to get some information. Thanks!! Katja and Sofie

Both pick up the same swell and have great spots too surf and lots of places to stay, but I recommend you to book something in advance
Portugal is so small that if you have a car you should visit both places.

Hey me and friends went last new years we stayed at peniche surf camp, was pretty cheap, good accommodation
plus the beaches are right in front of the camp so you can walk straight in. check it out we had a great time
