Surfboard Bag...do you use one?

Postby RadBag » Thu May 22, 2014 12:47 pm

Hi guys....My name is Jill Martini.
I am a designer of a product called Rad Bag, which is a surfboard bag line. We make our bags from fabric so its more like a sock as opposed to the industrial travel bags.

I would love to get your feedback on my product if you have time to check them out.

Also, I am a surfer and love the bags but I wanted to get your feedback on using board bags in general.
Do you use a board bag for your surfboard?

Hi, Your bags/socks look pretty cool.
I do use a board bag, but I use a pretty heavyweight Rhino board bag because whenever I am travelling it is a minimum 2 hour drive on busy motorways and I don't want to risk any damage to my stick.
So a board sock has minimal use for me (although I have considered getting one to put on my board before I put it in the bag as you can't be over protected!!)

I just throw my board in the bed of my truck where I have 2 sand bags to set it on (nose and tail). I have a board bad that came with my longboard and used it for a little while but it seems to just be an extra step and I am a lazy surfer.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

If I were going to use a bag I would want one as nice looking as those you make are. Mine is just a duct tape silver color.

Hi Jill,
Yes, I use board bags. The bags I have are heavily padded, insulated, and reflective. Your products are nice, but for me, do not provide adequate protection to board and surroundings (things that bagged board makes contact with).
