Minimal Issues

I'm a Norfolk surfer and I have a fat 7'2 minimal that you barely need to paddle to catch a wave, however due to the lack of power/form/swell/decent wind direction that Norfolk suffers from it is probabaly the most suitable board for the conditions.

My question is, should I buy another board for decent surf (Cornwall/Wales etc.) so as to not piss off everyone in the lineup?

What is your concern with having a minimal? that you will catch too many waves? You can easily deal with that by being a bit polite and letting a few waves through rather than grabbing everything yourself. If its the best board for the conditions, why should you change

When I was out in Australia, there was people riding 4 - 6ft breaking waves on huge logs. If you feel you have the fitness level to ride a shorter board designed for bigger conditions then why not? but then it would only be used when u travel
