Beginner's DVDs on how to surf

Postby Kevster89 » Tue Feb 12, 2008 5:50 am

Hey everyone,

I just started surfing a couple months ago... took a couple lessons and really loved it.

However, I kinda want to purchase a DVD that goes into the fundamentals and stuff just so I can see them demonstrated (reading about them gets monotonous) and keep them fresh in my mind.

After browsing Amazon, I saw a lot of DVDs were given really bad reviews... I couldn't find any how-to-surf DVDs with consistently positive reviews.

So I ask you, are there any that you could personally recommend me purchasing? I have a Amazon gift card that I really want to spend! :)

Thanks everyone,

Kev

I found YouTube really useful - watch a few videos by different people on there and stick with the one you like best. Instant and free!

This video of 312T4's progression is a fantastic learning tool. If you study his movements from beginning to end it can teach you alot about paddling, foot placement etc.
