Hey all,

If you were based in Skipton, a fair distance from the coast, where would you go to Surf?
Im guessing the closest spots are probably around Scarborough maybe? or I could take the trip through chester and into North Wales?

What would you suggest?

Hi tedcase, welcome to Surfing Waves!

You've picked a nice landlocked base there, even worse than Camberley :-D. Looking at the map I'd say your best bet for a surf is the East Coast. Scarborough is a good choice, or further north up towards Newcastle. There are plenty of spots along the coast there.

Are you about to move or something?

The East Coast is good. You have spots like Cayton, Scarborough North and South Bay. easier than going all the way to Wales on a Saturday!
