Surfing Buddies? Lift Shares?

Postby WaveR_ » Fri Aug 30, 2013 11:08 am

Hello, I'm new to surfing and this forum. :)
I unfortunately live in the middle of Birmingham and I have just started surfing and am now completely addicted. I was wondering if there was anyone else around Birmingham that would fancy doing lift shares, sharing cost of fuel? I have a car but it's a Peugeot 207 so I don't think I'll be able to fit any boards in. Would love to find some like minded people to go surfing with as often as possible, in the hope that one day I might actually be able to surf a wave!

Thanks,
Rachel :)

Get the passenger seat reclined back, board nose in the footwell. You'll get a decent sized minimal in easily. My mates 7'6 goes in is polo with no effort.

We go to Wales and Cornwall 3-4 times a year and drive past brum. Can try to sort something out on the next trip if your interested.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try that when I get a board.

It would be great if we could organize that, as long as you're alright with having a beginner with you, I really am still quite rubbish. :)

Thanks, Rachel.

Looking for a surf buddy. I'm in the Liverpool area and I'm going to be surfing in Hells Mouth throughout the summer of 2014. I need a surf buddy, preferably female so my boyfriend doesn't get any funny ideas!

You'll need to go halves on the petrol and I'll pick you up from your home. I've got soft roof racks and I can (apparently though I haven't tried yet) fit two surf boards on my car. I drive a small peugoet and I've fitted a surfboard to it before and it wasn't a problem. Providing you don't surf a longboard!

I'm a novice surfer and still learning to stand up properly so ideally someone of the same experience. It's about 3 hours to Hells Mouth and 3 hours back. Meet up for coffee before we start. No weirdos, no time wasters and definitely no one who is a smart arse :)

I haven't used these forums before so if you can pm me then do so and leave your number and I'll give you a text. :) Thanks :)
