Topshop sells wetsuits?!?

Postby Hazy_daze » Fri Jun 03, 2005 5:44 pm

Just thought I'd let you all know that fashion chain Topshop are now selling wetsuits in their North Devon branch...make sure you all get yourselves a suit guys and girls, you know you want to....!!
Surfing has well and truly now 'sold out';hoping that it'l soon become uncool and all the kooks/fair weather surfers will find another hobby
!
Wonder if the other landlocked Topshops' up-country are selling them?

Yea, its pretty bad when you hear a stupid girl wearing abercrombie saying she wants to go see lords of dogtown. I ask where she heard about it and she said mtv. Then you ask her who the z boys are and she has no clue.

Yea I know, I was thinking the same thing. I know a bunch of people who are going to go see it because it's what's cool and wouldn't give a sh!t about what they actually are, just want to look cool going to it and probally won't even remember what it was when they leave.

And before, they're gunna obsess over it...

Yeah, a guy I went to college with works at topshop, saw him about a month ago and he said they were expecting a whole surf range in in a few weeks, wetsuits and the lot. Of course, at first I kinda didn't believe him fully cos he is known for being a bit of a bullshitter, but hey, it's true. Reckon it's a bit on the weird side, just makes surfing even more commercialised, not that it isn't pretty bad already. There'll be even more surf wannabes around now!!! :x

In surfing its very easy to talk the talk, but only a real surfer can walk the walk. To be honest all this commercialism of surfing is not really bothering me since it has not affected me and my surfing life. If there are waves I surf. Maybe more learners in the water but it won't stop you getting waves, so whats the big deal :? ?
Anyway what brands of wetties are Topshop selling? Is it their own Topshop brand or all the current ones - cos if its all the current ones then thats good as it may reduce the price of wetties due to price war. And if they have a Topshop wetty that will be funny as in the lineup! - assuming they are made with being worn in the water in mind .

Very true - if you can surf you can choose to wear branded gear 24/7, but buying the gear does not mean that you are a surfer.

I can tell you are DEFINITELY a surfer - and not just a summer lightweight.
