Feet positioning

Postby Surfing22 » Fri Jun 28, 2013 3:55 am

I was watching a youtube video on feet positioning and the guy said on EVERY board your front foot is supposed be in the middle of the surfboard. And if you have a three fin setup I believe its called a thruster setup your back foot is supposed to be slightly in front of the two front fins, but shifted all the way back for big turns which makes sense. But the front foot always being in the center on ANY board does not. What if your riding a longboard should your front foot be in the middle?

Does the you tube guy mean the middle of the board side to side or front to back? Something in what you are saying if it is front to back would give all long and medium length surfers a hernia.

Surfing is subtle dance between front foot weighting and unweighting and the same on the back foot, the front foot can also be moved slightly side ways put more drive in the turn.

How are you getting on Surfer 22 you had this problem in October 2012 viewtopic.php?f=9&t=20599 so are you reading and trying out what is suggested?
Are you getting enough water time to make improvements?
