For this weekend. Any suggestions?

We were going to go to Sano, but it's all full for camping. :(

Try Carpenteria state camp. I've used it twice and but try and get near the beach with a pitch and not at the back next to the railway line. Last visit I was there the train stopped all night by our tent with the engines running. Some deaf guy was chasing his poodle down the tracks when a train came from behind and mounted him. Some campers at the beach side never heard a thing but we ended up with no sleep.
I can't remember who the surf god is/was round that way but all the coffee shops have murals dedicated to him.
