Customising Board

Hi, getting board of the way mi BIC board looks and wanna customise it so it is a bit different. I want to take off the existing graphics and paint some new ones on. HAs any one any idea of how to take of the existing graphics, without damaging the board?? What sort of paint should i use for the new graphics??? and do i need to put anything over th enew graphics to stop it scratching off???

Well their made of plastic pretty much so u can sand off the artwork... just use a bit of sandpaper... then glass paper to smooth it off again

i tried to put a sticker on my bic but the first duck dive and it just came off... is that because its plastic???

depends how u stick it..
make sure is smooth clean and dry.

Stick it from the centrew out and push out any bubbles

the graphics on bics are stickers i think so you can probably peel them off carefully.

Light aresol can paints will be best for a bic...

peel off the stickers with a wav comb (learnt that the hard way )

lol yeah i did the same only got rid of the dimentions though so all i know about my board now is that its 6'7. you can scrape it off with a credit card.

A bic is a piece of crap surfboard...
Theyre alright for beginners because theyre nearly indestructable, but nothing else is good about em.

I would get the bic, stencil the shape of a much nicer looking shortboard on it - paint that shape to make it look like a shortboard and paint the rest so it blends in with the sea, that way if anyone sees you they will think you are on a better board.

You wouldn't want to be seen on a BIC after all!!

Really though - don't use stickers, they don't work! On my first Pop-Out I put about 8 T&C stickers on it - I used their own stickiness, I waxed them on, I melted them on - nothing works!!

Go with spray and stencils, but I would consider getting a clear lacquer or glaze to go over the top so that it's definitely water tight!

They're epoxy shells that have had foam shot in between two halves.

Aren't worth anything, but a good get rich quick scheme.

yeah there really bad i only got a bic because i couldnt afford a proper board. cant wait to get a proper board.

wow, i just looked it up and BIC does make surfboards......thats a freakin disgrace

whoever has a bic should sell it, then get a used surfboard. cause.....thats what i do.

i only have one surfboard that i bought myself, and the rest i know will eventually get jacked up, so why buy a board when u get one from a buddy for freeee

everyones so quick to bash bics, not everyone can afford a new "real" board every time they break one, they are perfect for beginners, riding a "real" board does not make you a better surfer.
