Tip of a lifetime, check out Tulear, Madagascar, the most insane uncrowded waves you've ever seen ... sick !!!

HI blair974, welcome to Surfing Waves!
Did you surf there yourself? Madagascar never seems to get much coverage, I'd love to hear more about the waves on offer there.

Hi surf patrol,

Yep been surfing here since 2001, indonesian style perfection set in a deep in the heart of Africa background. Main problem is finding someone to surf with, can't tell you how many times I've been paddling out by myself with 8-10 wave sets coming in n im just going xxxxx man if only the boys back home could see this! Aside from that the local malagasy population are so welcoming and friendly it makes it the pure surfing experience, I'm still scratching my head wondering why no-one ever comes here?? So why am i spilling the beans? sick of surfing perfect waves by myself, much more rewarding sharing the love right lol

You poor thing  , I'm sure everyone here feels your pain.
Have you got any photos / footage? I'd love to see some of the waves on offer. Are there many surf spots that get good?

well yeah as ironic as it may seem its kinda frustrating surfing absolute perfection all by yourself lol ... I lived at Kirra back in the 80's and a long time at Saint Leu in Reunion Island and although the crowds are annoying theres a definite buzz to sharing the vibe when it's pumping, don't get me wrong still a lot of adrenalin pumping through the veins when it's going off and ur surfing by yourself but you're always thinking imagine if ... anyway regarding pics i'll try n post some on your site. Regarding spots mate ... I didn't leave Kirra and Saint Leu for nothing lol ! 5 world class lefts a few sick rights and an abundance of spots yet to be surfed, in fact half the spots we surf at the moment don't even have names, we call em, the left or the right! One thing I should add however is it's not easy geting to 99% of the spots, gotta know what ur doing and how to get there, which basically boils down to a boat and a lot of local knowledge ... could explain why im always surfing by myself lol
