Waxing Surfboard

Postby doebrowns » Thu Apr 04, 2013 4:06 am

Hey everyone, I had a board brought for me as a gift. I think it's a foamie as it's really lite an when I attached the fins I could see poly foam on the inside. So my question is, do I still have to wax it? An if so is there any wax that's better suited for these types of boards?
Cheers :)

rub your hand over the board while the board is wet. If its slippery you need wax. If not you dont.

Or just jump in the water and try and stand up. If your feet slip and slide then wax.

Foam boards dont need wax, only boards with a shiny smooth covering
