I will be making a board with xps foam specifically. Will this be a good choice of resin?

Kswaz,
if that stuff is epoxy resin and not polyurethane resin, then you can use it. My quick look at the linked page didn't reveal what kind of resin it is.

You can easily get epoxy resin at marine supply stores. Like this:
http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/st ... L_R-2dP-Xg

or this
http://www.fibreglast.com/product/43/Ep ... PAodaTIAeA

Just make sure you get epoxy resin.

U funny, kitey. I recognized the web address, but still did not go straight to it. Instead, i placed it in a search browser to see what would come up. It proved OK, so i went to the page.

I wasn't trying to give you a virus or whatever you thought, just trying to get some information. :)

No worries, Kswaz. Some of us guys know each other. I know your request was in earnest.

Anyway, can you determine whether that bar top resin is an epoxy resin?

The clue is in the labelling! If you can believe that.

Should be good to go but i would feel safer getting your epoxy from a more marine based supplier.

FYI: Some 'China' mass manufacture resins and epoxy's in huuuuge bulk and then sell it cheap as it become inert . . . this is then branded and marketed across the globe at uber profit though it is of little mechanical value. What proof do I have ? . . . you go web-research it and you will see it burried in there somewhere
