First Surf Trip.. Help Plz !

Hi my name is David and im young 17 year old boy from Montreal,
I really want to go on a surf trip on january for an unlimited time and i dont know where to go !! I want to work during my trip, and learn to surf. I snowboard a lot and do competition but i want to try something new cause i've just finished high school and i want to see and expriment something else . I dont have a lot of money so im searching for anything that is not expensive. If you have any suggestion or tips it will be very appreciated. Im open to all idea THANKS A LOT !

Wow it looks like you are ordering the Buddhist pizza, one with everything!

January in Montreal, any where south of Florida, Caribbean islands, or SoCal, you are going to be seriously under cashed for any unlimited time. Go to a foreign country you will need a working visa often needing a work offer or a sponsor. You are going to need a surf school or surf board of your own.
Transport costs for you and your board, start thinking not hoping! Try some part time work with your goals in mind and give yourself a little time to research and get a bankroll!
You are by my estimation about one to two years away from a trip.
Not two months!
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷

I've just got my working visa for Costa Rica and found a job in a call center, i have enough money to live there for like 6 month no stress about that, just looking for other option. And i really dont want to continue loosing my time here it suck so much .

Gee Dave , I've got to revise my thoughts, you have taken the step towards a surf trip with the working visa and scoring. Now for the hard but rewarding part, learning to surf
Just enjoy, after the years of high school slog, just enjoy :lol:
Hope the call centre is not too far away from a surf spot or two!
