Sounds like you're having a great trip on all fronts (even the clean feet front)

The east coast is now a full speed washing machine, the black cobble rock and black sand beaches give the deadly huge shore dump this grey of imminent death and doom.
So into the temple of the sea god Matsu and a compassionate Buddha to ask GeForce the surf to get smaller

Fat chance the Typhoon is moving slowly and irresistibly closer.
Will put in pictures of the destruction and include the earthquake chart as well.
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷

I believe it sat off the Philipines for a while generating disaster, big seas and tornados
Hope you only felt it slightly :D

Only on the Pacific side.

Here in San Juan La Union we actually got great waves from it, the weekend was a real swell!

As promised, one thing we could do is get our tootsies cleaned by the fish, picture thereof.

They like to look after their fish which nibble the feet at the hot springs.

The beach we stayed at on the south east coast was Nanwan meaning south bay, there is a large pavilion on the beach

Chinese celebrations at the entrance to the car park!
and every day at least twenty huge tour buses arrive and disgorge a bus load onto the beach most can't swim and bob up and down in the roped off area or get towed around behind the break by jetskis on banana boats or inflatable tubs at high speed or a lady sells them the shade of an umbrella and they take it all in these two photos were taken before the beach became people soup.

Every day if there is the slightest ripple the ultralight Chinese teenagers turn up at the surf school and get to stand on the foamies and float shoreward ( which shows foamies do have a place) in exaggerated poo stance straight to shore between their lightness and the floatiness of the foamies they continue to drift upright even when the wave has passed underneath.

Somewhere out to sea there is a demarcation line which if a typhoon crosses surf and water activities are stopped

But never fear you can also hire antique boards for any occasion.

No electrocuting, poisoning or bombing the fish. Killjoys, I bet that spoilt your day
Had you have known about the board hire, you could have left yours at home :-D

It looks like a nice place, and I'm glad you had a good time.

Good bit or reportage there :D

I'll be sure to show the mrs the picture of the feet-eating fish to prove that it does happen
