Rips

Postby Toj » Tue Sep 04, 2012 6:38 am

Good morning all,

Not really sure where to post this, but looking at the BBC news website, and there has been a fatality in Bude UK which saw a mother and her two children get caught in a rip http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cornwall-19470643 sadly the mother passed away, but the tw kids where pulled to safety. This just goes to show that rips are always there, very dangerous and if not dealt with correctly then they can be deadly.

They are especially dangerous if you do not have a surfboard as a floatation device. Everyone who swims in the sea needs to be aware of Rips, and how to deal with them.
