Epoxy Repair - Nose Ripped Off

Postby -Griffin- » Tue Jul 10, 2012 12:19 am

Hey, Guys.

I'm thinking of purchasing this (http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/spo/3121540339.html) board. Price is cheap, but obviously the nose is pretty much gone.

How would I go about fixing this? Estimated cost for fixing it? I'm thinking I might run into some problems since the end is most likely flat instead of curving up a bit at the nose like most boards.

hmmm. Could be tricky to fix yourself due to the lack of any structure. You would need to glue more foam on, the using epoxy resin and good cloth, glass around the nose and a few inches back down the board for strength. I think it's too big to just "fill it in" with filler and expect it to last.

Not sure what the cost of repair would be. Make a phonecall to your local board shop.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I'll pass on it.
