BIC Minimal ACS, water under nose cap

Postby pmcaero » Sun May 27, 2012 10:57 pm

I noticed that after surfing, some water comes out from under the nose cap. I think , if there ever was a sealant bead there, some of it has seeped away (stain on the board just by the nose).
This is a new board, only used it 5 times. Should I reseal the nose cap?

Probably best to re-seal it if you don't want it to come off completely.

If in doubt dry it out, seal it, and if your still not sure, get s pro to check it for you.

here's an update. I took it to the guys in the shop and they said it was OK. but I haven't seen any other BIC with stains around the nose cap. Also, water gets under definitely, because it flows out after a surfing session. Question is, how far does it get. I'll try to reseal it eventually, any suggestions on the sealant or glue to use?

I would contact Bic directly, and tell them what is going on. They could advise you with the sealant, and let you know if any of your issues are covered under their warranty.

good idea Tony, especially since the issue is easily visible as stains.
