April El Salvador surf trip

Postby jfpsurf » Tue Oct 12, 2010 8:50 pm

We are planning a trip to surf around Sunzul surf spot. This is our first time to travel there. Any recommendations of where to stay or surf uncrowded waves for older guys?

Apparently punta roca is the place to go. You can have huge days when the swell is big, but otherwise looks like it's pretty ok. But don't forget your booties.

Yeah @pjkl, I would recommend Punta Roca as well! But Sunzal is a better wave for long boarders. April is a good time of year to go to El Salvador because it is the end of the dry season and the weather is nice with offshore winds! There is a place called the Mizata Surf Lodge which is a great mellow place to stay and is centrally located to all the good surf spots.

good plan on punta mango - East Salvador
Housing at two minutes from the spot.
I'm back from Punta Mango and it's a great spot where you can surf alone!
The road to punta mango has been redone and there are places to stay right next to the spot.
Rent your house directly on the spot (10$ a night). And more operate the local market. Casa Loca home is rented for not very expensive.
The road is good and the locals are very welcoming. No crime and vegetation is lush. Hiking, horse riding, local produce .... people offer many services.
A superb house at two minutes of commercials is managed by a local farmer called carmelo. Cheap and still receiving a sea breeze, overlooking the sea and the mountains, it's the perfect plan .... Come here and meet with Salvadoran rather than lock yourself among tourists.
