to buy or not to buy...

Hi people, a little help if at all possible?
I'm looking at buying a Hawaiian Soul for my boyfriend. He has used a mate's one for the past year and really likes it. There is one for sale locally (£240 which I think is a bit pricey for it so hopefully a deal to be done) but it has some cracks down the centre line (see pics attached). I have asked if he can feel the cracks with his finger and he says no so potentially under the surface?? I am not sure if I should be really worried about these or not? Apparently the board is a year old and he reckons the cracks are from strain of being on the roof rack? anyone got any ideas at all please? Thanks in advance!

Gracey. Tricky one this. If i had owned the board from new i would not be worried about the cracks, but you are right £240 is enough money for a second hand board to be questioning them. So 2 questions for, how much is the board new and what is the condition of the rest of the board, please?

Hi KS... the seller said the board was £375 new, but there are similar from thelittlepinksurfshop for £299 (I guess he has the bag, leash etc too but... ). He has said the rest of the board is good condition? I am also tempted by the Roger Cooper's if I can get a good deal!
