New to surfing-fin questions

Postby DogDays2 » Sat Jan 28, 2012 8:47 pm

I got this board with 2 fins and the previous owner said the center fin ripped off. Do I need to put a center fin in or will it be fine with only two. The other two fins say fsc g-r on the side. If I do need a center fin, do I need the same kind? Do they sell the center fins by themselves and where can I find this kind of fin? If I dont need to get the same kind, what would be a good kind of fin to get? What would I need to attach it? Sorry, if these are kind of stupid questions, but I really dont know. Thanks

You don't "need" a middle fin. The board will ride better with one but its not mandatory. Just make sure the board doesn't have any holes that water might get into, by the middle fin box. if u did want to surf it with all three fins u would have to buy a set, as they don't just sell one fin for thrusters.

depends on where you are. a shop that i go would be able to sell you a centre fin, and i also have a centre fin spare FCS.it looks like you have the two grub screws so all you will need is a fin key,(alan key) can't remember the mm but might be about 3mm.
