Anyone watching ripcurl SF?

Postby surf doc » Tue Nov 01, 2011 8:08 pm

Looks tough out there. Peaks all over the place, brutal paddle out.
Wait a minute, sounds like my home break.

lol, I've not been watching. The waves looked pretty good from the photo I was sent on a press release:

Do you have a jetski to pull you out back at your home break if needed?

they said no jet ski because it's forbidden there to protect the environment, do i remember correctly?

also, why do they say "somewhere in sf"? is the place a secret? :D or do they just move around every other day?

I wondered why they weren't using it, makes sense.
Normally it's at a secret location, they never release the location before the comp. While I was watching, one of the commentators said it was at Ocean Beach about 5 times.

There was even a link to a video about the locals and their experiences surfing ocean beach throughout the years. Not very secret at all.

Might be the final today, I've just put it on to have a little look. The waves look a little crappy today.
