Who thinks this is pretty rad!

Postby wharden12 » Sun Oct 09, 2011 10:02 pm

well me and my dad are going to start shaping our own boards. Ive been surfing since i was a little baby and i still havent been able to be pulled away from it. Well I dont want to stray far from it since i have to decide what i want to do with my life now. Anyways back to the actual thing i was going to talk about. We were talking about names for the "Logo". Well we decided on NEKED. Now i know it sounds weird but it has a very weird story behind it. I was talking to my mom and somehow my ass got brought up. Well me being myself and being stupid i decided to moon everyone. Yes i know. Thats how I got the name. I just said it right then and was totally amped on it. "thats what we are going to call it!" NEKED. Not naked like a normal person calls it but NEKE Surfboard Company.

Now I want to get some t-shirts made up and hats and everything. They will be pretty classic style cuz that is my favorite style. Like 70s modern type.

What do you guys think? Does it sound good? I need some advise here. Any help would be awesome. :woot:

wharden,
I like the part of the story about buildind boards with your Dad. You can't beat things like that. (with my Dad it was small sail boats and motorcycles). I'm not so crazy about the Neked part, though, since you asked. I'm an old guy and find it a little unsavory.

I'd love to do something like that with my boys when they get older. Good luck to you.
Have either of you had any experience shaping boards?
