Ive read Kelly slater, pipe dreams, really enjoyed it! and Ive just ordered kook!

What other good surfing books do you guys recomend?

Pretty sure it was a Kem Nunn book I read years ago called Tapping the source. It was a mystery/crime book based around a guy looking for his sister who was mixed up in the surf scene somehow, and he had to learn to surf etc etc. Cant remember a lot about but do remember it was passed around a group of us and we all enjoyed it

If you want some surf crime fiction, Ben Rayner writes a good story. He has a series of books about Fat Bennie, a surfing PI in Chicago. They are an entertaining read.

APH - yep tapping the source is one of his. first one i read and loved it (enough to get a tattoo related to it done!!)
all his other are great -they are crime/drama based but normally have something surf related in them

Hey Rockbus. I read it about 20 yrs ago. Think the cover was some sort of circular wave pattern. Is that what the tattoo is of? At least four of my friends read it and we all said it would have made a good tattoo. Ordered a copy of one of Ben Rayners books so another good read to look forward to
