It's real, but not a tsunami . I think there is a longer version where he gets spit out of the steam cloud at the end.

It is Jaws, and it definitely not a tsunami and it's real. The youtubers ( i think of potatoes as I write that )who cut clips and then label them erroneously are just excited .
Out of the range of most mortal surfers.
