Stringer separation. NEED HELP!!!

Postby DUUVIT » Mon Aug 08, 2011 11:14 pm

hi guys...stupid question. The stringer under my tail pad has started to separate from the foam. the glass has actually cracked and the foam is about 1/8th of an inch from the stringer. i really like this board. the shape is perfect for me and the terrible waves we have here in the armpit of the east coast. what i need to know is...does anyone know if this can be repaired??? thank you

What do you mean separate? Is the stringer cracked and starting to poke up through the glass?

No. the stringer has not cracked. the glass has cracked along the side of the stringer. like parallel with it. and the foam is starting to separate from the stringer.

Not a stupid question , but in order to give you a real answer these things need to be known, what brand board is it? how old? are there any dings at the tail? has the foam begun to shrink? What colour is the foam? are there pressure dents under the tail pad?
Post pictures so we can help you.
