surf board boxes

Hi all

Not sure where I should post or ask this question so here goes.
I have been reading this site for a while and am thinking of building a surf board box for cars.
I would love your thought on this if you dont mind

do you mean building a box place on top of a vehicle?
if so, I've placed my surfboard flight case on top of my SUV a few times. I found it caught a lot of wind and made it's presence known. There is much less resistance, which doesn't effect the vehicle, when my boards are simply strapped to my roof rack. So make the height of your box short.

It would be designed to improve the drag as it will be a solid closable box

What are you going to make the box out of? Have you seen the Thule roof boxes? If you could make a box for a reasonable price their may be a market for them. Good luck with it and send us some info when you get it done.

They are going to be made of fiberglass and painted in various colour's ( same colour as your car maybe) could also have various designs. but yes looks like the thurl but alot cheaper.
