too late to start?

Postby alisha_ » Wed Jun 01, 2011 9:43 am

I really want to get into surfing, but I am wondering is it too late? I'm 22 years old... will it be too hard to learn??

Thanks

dont worry... :)

there are many guys here and around teh world, who just started surfing in their 30s or 40s or even later...
i picked it up with 27.... so dont worry and just give it a try..!

dont expect to turn pro or alike tho... ;)

Never too late... Rent a board, take a lesson or 2 or better yet go with a friend that surfs. Enjoy the process it is a blast...

At age 22 you should be in your prime! Just try to go often and put time into it, if you want to get better. Good luck!

Why would it be too late? Go for it!!! You can be in your 30s or 40s and it is still never too late! Ride hard and have fun!

I think you may need some professional help with your self-esteem if you think you're over the hill at 22.

Surfing, on the other hand, will be no problem.

You've got to be kidding me? Too late at 22. Man you're only just getting started. You're at a great age to take it up. A family friend took up surfing only last year and he was fast approaching 60. He hasn't looked back since. Check him out:

22, i reckon you'll be fine! it helps if you live near the sea and you can get in all the time.
