Bic 7'9" vs 8' Soft Top

Postby SuperMex » Sat Jun 04, 2011 12:53 am

Ok, I'll lay it all out.

Been surfing for about 6 months now on the Central Coast of California. I've learned on a 9'8" Pearson Arrow performance board. To tell you the truth, to much o nthe perforemance side, I'd just like to cruz the waves nice and easy, I'm 40.

Yes, I know I should get a used fat 80's style long board, but I need something to teach the kids on and I'm rough with boards, hence the Bic & Soft Top.

Which one floats better, catches waves faster, and is closer to a fiberglass board performance wise.

Thanks a lot guys, I have a limited budget.

Ok peeps, I'm also 5'11, 210lbs.

It's 6am and I'll ride the soft top in 20 minutes.

If you want an epoxy durable board that feels close to fiberglass I would get a 9'0", or 10' Bic E-comp longboard. The Bic e-comp series is higher quality than the ACS series in my opinion. They have held up better in our rental department, and are great for beginners to experienced surfers.
