Best place in Portugal for beginners?!

Hi,
Parents are organizing a surfing holiday for the family, just wondering if anyone could help me out and give any advice where the best place in Portugal is for surfing for absolute beginners?? Any tips/ advice would be great!

Only place I've surfed is Ericeira this Easter (bit north of Lisbon).

The surf was beautiful! We stayed at this surf camp thing and there was a coastal road we walked along to town. The view out to sea was just perfect point break after point break after beachy etc etc. Really nice area, but some of the breaks didn't look beginner friendly.

I am a beginner, and on the first day was met with over double overhead mellow clean waves, from a picture on my pc there is a couple of guys dropping in on a face that is definitely over 15ft high. Beautiful.. I just wished I had my longboard with me, and that could handle surf that big^^.

The locals were nice though, dropped in left right and centre but that appears to be the done thing there. Very friendly.
