Does anybody know a good article or have any advice on how to turtle roll for beginners?

There's a guide here - https://surfing-waves.com/turtle_roll.htm
However, there are a couple of different opinions on the advice given in the article. Search some of the posts on the forum for further info.

I don't wrap my arms around the board like this woman does in the video. I flip upside down and try to hold the board down as the wave rolls over it. As soon as the wave rolls past, I kick up and roll the board over to start paddling again.

WRONG
Don't do it like that as soon as you let go to change your grip the board will be gone. Develop a vice like grip to hang on to your rails and let your body drape down as a sea anchor and go to the posts on how to get outside and how to turtle roll in the beginner section.
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷

Good grief!
I've never turtle-rolled a board in my life (well, not intentionally... sometimes when the duckdive gets a little bit disturbed a roll becomes necessary) and even I can see how badly wrong that would go!

A little wax on the rails where you hold them makes it a lot easier if you haven't yet developed a kung-fu grip.
