Surfboard help for Sri Lanka Trip

Hi wll im 23year old guy,surft already few times in Brazil and Portugal
like 3months in total let us say

Everytime i rent a surfboard and on some boards get up and at some totaly not
im very sportive and good in boardsports,

in 1 month i wll be 3months in Sri Lanka so perfect place to practice a lott, it wll be 3 months everyday in the water for 6-8 hours..

so what is the perfect board for me to make alott of fun and make some nice moves after 1 month , in the futher wish to ride a shortboard wll..

im thinking about buy a funboard ,egg
so its a good option or just buy a bigg fat shortboard
and what about the size im 178cm and arounbd 72 kilo

Usually stay with a longboard to start. You can always rent others as you progress. If you get a half way decent long board you will keep it for a long time.

As long as you start with a longboard it will be great, but as you already said you surfed a few times so you can also try to get a smaller board, something like a mini malibu
