Surf Watch

Postby emmajamma » Wed Dec 01, 2010 11:54 am

Hi,

Just wondered if any of you guys have found a good surf watch, I just mean a cheapish waterproof one that can be worn in warm and cold weather. I tried Breo but it doesnt seem to be waterproof deep enough!! I dont want anything too bulky for obvious reasons but am struggling money wise to find one I like.

Also anyone got any experience of surfing in the Vendee since the storms??

Cheers

I've been using a woman's digital watch for several years. Women's watches are smaller than men's. Mine cost about $30US at a sporting goods store blowout. It is very much like this one from Freestyle, execpt the strap is fabric and the closure is velcro:

Actually i find my breo to be one of the best, cheap surf watches ive ever had, i got it for 10 GBP at a surf shop back home, its survived a trip to morocco, and regular surfs, i also use it freediving and have gone to 40ft with it and no issues, plus i barely notice it when im surfing and its almost indestructable.
IMO, excellent value if you just want a cheap watch for the surf.

For surfing I wear a 2.5cm Lorus sports - a small cheap watch with a black dial and white hands - easy to tell the time by in high sunlight. Works for me. This is the only pic I have found : it might not be there for long, I bought it after a Timex of the same nature I smashed a few years ago !

I otherwise wear a a nice Tissot :woot:
