First Board Advice Please?

Postby YorkshireSurfer » Sun Nov 28, 2010 10:42 am

Hi guys

this is my first post on the forum so dont bite :)

Im after my first board, from my experience and local (ish) break ive done my research, and going on what felt best when renting ive come to the conclusion im after a Mini-mal around 7ft 3in - 7 ft 6in.

i was planning on getting a BIC or NSP, however ive seen this good second hand custom Roger Cooper board on ebay only 30mins drive from where i live. Ive heard good things about the board in general but want to be careful with it being a used custom.

Could you guys check it out for me, does the condition look ok in the pictures, what price would be reasonable in your currency - im guessing you wont be dealing in the Queens English Pounds :?

Roger Cooper also has his own ebay outlet, brand new the boards are still cheap but will come to aorund £220 with delivery and only come with fins - no leash or bag :(

Cheers guys

Hmmm bidding had ended. Board looked a bit a tatty for £225. New roger coopers are going for that money on ebay!

Thats what i was thinking, the price went too close to that of a new one so i stopped bididng. Although it would only have cost me £200 as i live near the seller. Might just go for a £80ish used BIC then upgrade to a roger cooper next winter

Thanks

Don't be quick
to select a BIc
performance wise
they ain't so slick.
Cruise around and see what's loose
at your higher price to carve the juice.

If £80 is all you can muster
the asking price of a buggered thruster!
For your your original price of £200
something better can be found,
Don't waste your money on a plastic log
don't rush out to buy a dog,
look around and take your time
it's winter there the buying's prime.
