Ding question

Postby kangaskhan » Mon Nov 08, 2010 1:50 am

So I was in the water a couple of days ago when I noticed a nasty ding on the bottom of my board.

I took it home and sanded it out and I have been just trying to drain out all the water since then.

Here are some pictures to give you an idea of how it looks:

Its literally dead center on the bottom of my firewire.

That is a quarter to give you an idea of its size.

So my question is, when I patch this up am I gonna need to get some extra foam in there? Or would it be straight to just fill it up with some sun cure resin?

Thanks!

Ohh its no biggy, I would say just fill it up with some sun cure get it dried and sand it. But be sure before you do so that you drained all the water from the board.

for starters to find a pro ding repair guy it will probably cost $45 to $60 THE REPAIR WILL LAST THE LIFE OF BOARD however with the sun cure over time your repaired area will yellow crack and eventually leak a great thing to carry with you when you go surfing is a SharkSkin repair patch kit it is fast and simple to use check it out at sharkskinsurf.com i hope this helps you
