JK Surfboards?

Postby bruinft » Mon Oct 18, 2010 6:01 pm

Anyone have any experience with JK Surfboards? The website claims that they are handshaped and they are willing to do custom jobs. The price is relatively inexpensive, which is what I'm looking for right now. I've been dinging up my board a lot recently and want to get a cheap beater board to ride out my bad luck.

I ended up caving in and getting a used surfboard shaped by a local guy that's supposed to be based off a CI Flyer. It was cheaper and seemed to be in pretty good condition. Hopefully I made the right choice...

Used?
Local shaper?
Cheaper?

It's hard to say without seeing the board, but this is all good stuff.

It was used, but in fairly good condition, not a whole lot of pressure dings on the deck. Although, the nose is blunt, which makes me wonder if something happened to the tip... Made by a Jamie Perez, a local Venice shaper. The board itself was $40 cheaper than a new JK Surfboard, but it also has a traction pad, which makes it closer to $70-$80 cheaper.
