Jay,
glad you found it interesting. Standup paddle board is huge in my region of SoCAL. In fact, my wife and I went SUP-ing last Friday at California's Channel Islands. We explored sea caves and protected coves, as well as, ventured into some very choppy open water. Had a blast!

I am still on my SUP every day that is 3' and smaller ( which is almost every day)
I did get a week off the sup when we had that nice south a week ago.
Hope you are getting some waves!

Hey Parry,
My wife and I played hookie on Friday, July 23, to go SUP-ing. The big paddle board store in Santa Barbara arranged a trip to Santa Cruz Island. There we paddled into sea caves, studied the reefs in protected coves, and paddled into open water. The Santa Monica-based rep for Coreban came along and lent us the Coreban boards we think we want to buy. We had a blast!!!!! See 100 photos here:

Awesome pics billie...couldn't think of a better way to enjoy a day of hookie.

The coreban boards look really nice, I have my eye on the coreban 10 footer called "Icon". They seem to be really well built, and the website vid of surfing that Icon makes me want it bad!!
I am saving my pennies...cash has been low in this economy, but I will have it soon.
Thanks again for the pics, I will be i Tahoe all week with the family and the SUP. Most versatile board in my quiver.
Keep the stoke!!

Hey Parry,
my wife and I don't have our own SUP boards, yet. We've been using boards from a really cool shop here and the boards on our Channel Island trip were lent to us by the Coreban rep based in Santa Monica. We've been holding all expenses because we are attempting to buy a house in Santa Barbara. You know how crazy real estate prices are here. When we finally do buy our SUPs, we'll be buying them from the retail shop that has been so good to us. Funny that you, too, like a Coreban board. By the way, if you haven't considered buying your Icon from www.surfingsports.com/ in SB, you should.

Hope your family vacation in Tahoe is wonderful.
