Flying into Faro (Portugal) and then?

Postby Kiwistarista » Sat Jul 24, 2010 2:02 pm

Hey everyone,

a couple of friends and I are planning to hit the Algrave for a about 7-12days to catch some waves. We are planning to fly into Faro with ryan air start of September and then just hit the next best camping site with our crappy, leaking tent :)

Since none of us has been to Portugal yet, it would be great to get some general insights and tips.

- Since we fly with ryain air, we won't bring any gear: How hard is it to find a decent board for this period? What are reg renting prices, or would you recommend to just buy one and then resell?

- Can you recommend any camp sites in close proximity to some breaks and possibly some night action?

Please feel free to drop any comment regarding a minimalistic week in South Portugal - we really want to keep it simple surfing, beer and maybe a occasional party.

Looking forward to your comments guys!
