What size, style, brand should I buy?

Postby Volcom31 » Tue Jul 20, 2010 5:07 pm

Im looking to buy a surfboard in a couple of months from now. But im uncertain of what kind of board I should get, I can ride waves about 2-6 feet but I cant manever well because my surfing insructor gave me a 7' soft top and im 5'2 105 lbs. on a good given day. Im really looking for some things in a board. I'd like to be able to float with ease, perhaps a pointed nose, a board that is very maneuverable but with a stable amount of rocker, and a fairly well price board that I can ride.

I have never ridden a shortboard, hoping to rent one tomorrow. On the soft top board that my instructer let me use I was able to stand litteraly every time and im reallty looking for either a 6'0-6'4 I THINK???? So now im scratching my head wondering what would be right for me? What size? What style of surfboard? What brand? What will do all of these things to make for a perfect board within a budget of about $500 :?: Id really appreciate the help on my so to say "quest" to find the right surfboard.

If you have any recommendations please reply...

Hi, the answer costs one million dollars....

choose right board is very difficoltous due to thousands variabilty of element (skill, height and power of waves, steep, ecc)

for U, I think to a flotable egg almost 6.6x20x2 1/2, biscuit of Al Merrick, p. es

best is test, test, test more possible size board and decide
